Welcome Back!

The post-election vote canvassing was completed and Senator Edd Houck has conceded the race to us. There will be no recount of the votes.
"As your State Senator-Elect, I will bring my commonsense conservative principles to Richmond and stand up for your values."This is the basis for the platform I ran my election on and will remain at the core of how I lead and vote.
My elected representation is all about you, my constituents and neighbors, not any agenda or allegience to any special interest group. It's about having a voice that speaks for YOU in Richmond! I will stand up for you by always defending the Constitution, and all Virginians' rights as bills come before me to evaluate.
I hold true to the belief that we can govern better when many viewpoints are working together toward a common goal.
Virginia will once again lead the way in great government service and new jobs! This is what our forefathers intended for us; not more government in our lives, but less government in our lives.
I have taken the oath of office two times in my lifetime to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. I have worn the uniform of an Army Officer and police officer. Both jobs required sacrifice greater than self. By your confidence in allowing me to serve and represent you in the Virginia Senate, and I will gladly take that oath once again in January.
To the thousands of volunteers, poll workers, donors, and staff: Thank you all for your steadfast dedication to our campaign, your faith in our message, and your outstanding energy and positivity throughout this long process. The campaign has finally come to an end and our hard work has paid its first dividend: conservative representation in the 17th Senate District of Virginia!
To my opponent, Senator Edd Houck, I thank you for your 28+ years of public service and wish you the best in your next endeavor.
Finally to my amazing wife, Anne, kids, and whole family (including the bunch in Texas!); we couldn't have done this without everyone pitching in a LOT, and each of you did! You never lost energy, you never gave up, and you never lost your faith in me. This is what keeps us together as a family and strong... and you are where I draw all my strength. I love you all and thank you very much!
