Reeves Announces NRA-PVF Endorsement in 28th Senatorial District Race

FREDERICKSBURG, VA – April 18th, 2022 – Today, the NRA-PVF announced its endorsement of Senator Bryce Reeves for the new 28th Senatorial District seat. Reeves has consistently received an NRA A+ rating in the past for his voting record and work at the state level to protect and uphold Virginians’ 2nd amendment rights.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the NRA-PVF.”, said Reeves. “I have worked hand-in-hand with the NRA-PVF and other second amendment advocacy groups throughout my time in office to ensure that Virginians’ rights to self defense are upheld.  Our constitution’s language is clear and concise: ‘…shall not be infringed.’ Although some may disagree with me, legislation such as red flag laws are a clear example of an attack on our second amendment rights. They skip over due process entirely, making a mockery of our justice system with policy that can be weaponized against good, law-abiding Virginians. I will not stop until Virginia’s unconstitutional red flag laws are repealed.”

The NRA-PVF released a letter along with their endorsement and had this to say: “This endorsement is a reflection of your steadfast support and demonstrated leadership on Second Amendment issues during your tenure in the General Assembly. As a past recipient of our Defender of Freedom award, you have been a leader in the Virginia State Senate on legislation to defend and expand Second Amendment freedoms.“

This most recent endorsement only serves to add to the swelling momentum of Reeves’ campaign. Reeves has received endorsements so far from statewide leaders such as Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-VA), Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears (R-VA), Attorney General Jason Miyares (R-VA), and former Governor George Allen (R-VA). Virginia Congressman Bob Good (R-VA05) and Congresswoman Jen Kiggans (R-VA02) have also thrown their support behind Reeves. Other organizations and notable political figures that have endorsed Reeves include: The Virginia Police Benevolent Association, Americans for Prosperity, Sheriff Jeremy Falls (Fauquier), Sheriff Roger Harris (Spotsylvania), Sheriff Erik Weaver (Madison), Del. Nick Freitas (R-Culpeper) , Del. Mike Webert (R-Fauquier), Delegate Phil Scott (R-Spotsylvania), and State Senator Mark Obenshain (R-Harrisonburg).
