Bryce Reeves Announces Re-elect Bid in New 28th Senate District

Fredericksburg, VA – Last night, Virginia Senator Bryce Reeves (R-Spotsylvania) officially announced his reelection bid in the new 28th Senate District. Reeves, who has served as Senate District 17’s representative since 2012, was drawn into the new 28th district as the sole incumbent during the redistricting process that occurred this past year.

The sitting Senator kicked off his campaign alongside elected officials, friends, and constituents at the popular, locally owned Beer Hound Brewery of Culpeper, VA. Guest speakers included Delegate Nick Freitas (R-Culpeper), Sheriff Scott Jenkins (R-Culpeper), Supervisor Duane Adams (R-Louisa), and Supervisor Jim Jewett (R-Madison).

“I just want to thank everybody for the outpouring of support I have received”, said Reeves. “I’ve worked countless hours to improve the lives of our veterans, members of law enforcement, and Virginia families. I know the people of the 28th District, and I know just how important family values are to them. Whether it was securing the largest retirement pay tax cut in the history of Virginia for our veterans, fixing our broken foster care system, or standing up for our constitutional rights in Richmond, I have always worked with my constituents and those values in mind.”

“It seems like every day, new challenges are presented to Virginians. Parents have to fight just to have their voices heard, and we recently saw a massive decline in our students’ math and reading test scores. As a father and high-school football coach, I take these issues personally. For the sake of my constituents and all Virginians, I won’t back down to the liberal left and will continue the fight in Richmond to protect our families and our freedoms.”

Reeves, who is currently serving his third term as a Virginia Senator, has a well defined history of passing conservative legislation regardless of which party controls either chamber in Richmond. An avid voice in favor of the pro-life movement, parental rights, and the Virginia business community, Reeves brings the kind of experience and legislative effectiveness that is needed in Richmond.

Bryce Reeves is a small business owner, auxiliary sheriff’s deputy in Culpeper County, former Army Ranger, and former Prince William County narcotics detective. He currently represents the 17th District in the Virginia Senate, which includes the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Albemarle (part), Culpeper (part), Louisa (part), Orange, and Spotsylvania (part).
